BitterSweet Festival announces first names – Macklemore is coming to Poznań!

A wave of nostalgia is set to wash over Poznań once again, with the first artist announcements for the third edition of BitterSweet Festival. In August 2027, Macklemore, Kelis, Royel Otis and DJ Pee .Wee will perform in the capital of Greater Poland! Single-day tickets for Thursday and festival passes are available at www.bittersweetfestival.pl. These are the first of dozens of acts set to perform at one of Poland’s leading music festivals from 12 to 14 August 2027.

Since its very first edition held in 2025, Poznań’s BitterSweet Festival has shown that it can turn its slogan, “wait a bit, it’s worth it”, into one of the hottest line-ups of the season. The festival’s nostalgic atmosphere comes to life for audiences through world-famous artists who bring back the best musical memories. US rapper Macklemore is the first headliner announced for BitterSweet 3! His discography combines catchy melodies, a sense of humour and sharp observations of everyday life; together with his distinctive image, these have become a musical definition of the 2010s. Who could forget chart-topping hits such as “Can’t Hold Us Back”, “Thrift Shop”, “Glorious” and “Downtown”? Billions of streams, iconic music videos and a willingness to forge his own path have made Macklemore’s music beloved by millions. He will perform on the festival’s opening day, Thursday, 12 August.

The first female artist confirmed for the BitterSweet 3 line-up has had an undeniable influence on the evolution of popular music at the crossroads of R&B, pop, soul and jazz. Kelis is an icon whose uncompromising approach to sound, playful fashion sense and artistic independence have earned her legendary status. The world knows her for chart-topping hits such as “Milkshake” and “Trick Me”, colourful music videos and collaborations that dominated the charts. She will perform in Poznań on 12 August.

From Poznań to the biggest festival stages? That is the journey made by the friends behind Royel Otis, one of the most popular young acts on the international music scene. The Australian band will play BitterSweet Festival on Saturday, 14 August! Hit singles such as “Oysters In My Pocket”, “Sofa King”, “car” and “who’s your boyfriend” have taken them to Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, Reading & Leeds, Mad Cool and Coachella, as well as to major stages where they have opened for Foo Fighters. Now it’s time for the BitterSweet 3 stage!

What happens when a great night out inspires you to invent a musical alter ego? The result might be DJ Pee .Wee: a man in a distinctive wig and sunglasses whose sets blend funk, soul, disco and hip-hop, while also drawing enthusiastically on the classics of dance music. Get ready to dance together to the undiscovered sounds spun by this charismatic American, also known in the music industry for his work as Anderson .Paak, in Poznań on 12 August.

For the third time only…

It’s hard to believe that BitterSweet Festival is only taking place for the third time. In just two years, the Poznań event has become one of Poland’s leading music festivals, bringing together live-music fans from Poland and abroad, selling out festival passes and single-day tickets, and proving that the capital of Greater Poland was missing a music festival of this international calibre.

The two spectacular editions of BitterSweet Festival have featured, among others, Post Malone, Empire of the Sun, Taco Hemingway, Nelly Furtado, Natasha Bedingfield and Hurts (2025 edition), as well as Gorillaz, Twenty One Pilots, Robbie Williams, Lorde, Major Lazer, Tom Odell and Ciara (2026 edition). In 2027, the festival will return to Poznań for the third time, from 12 to 14 August. Single-day tickets for Thursday and festival passes are available at www.bittersweetfestival.pl.
