The choir is an integral part of the artistic ensemble of the St. Moniuszko Grand Theatre in Poznań, where it prepares operas, participates in concerts, creates musical accompaniment for ballets, and performs oratorio and cantata music. Furthermore, it conducts independent performances outside its parent institution, appearing in concert halls in Poland and abroad. The choir specializes in performing monumental works of the Romantic period, but its repertoire extends from the Baroque period to contemporary music. Since the fall of 2007, the choir has been directed by Mariusz Otto. During this concert, we will offer you what we consider to be the most beautiful choral excerpts from operas by Polish and European composers.
