The most exciting festival debut of recent years in Poland is making a bold statement with the announcement of its first headliner for the second edition: Gorillaz at BitterSweet Festival 2026 in Poznań. The band will perform in the capital of the Greater Poland region on Thursday, August 13, 2026, with the festival once again set in Cytadela Park. This is only the first line-up announcement for the festival, which will take place from August 13 to 15, 2026.

A three-day festival in Poznań, immersed in nostalgia and surrounded by soap bubbles, BitterSweet invites the biggest names in global music. Gorillaz are the first headliner of BitterSweet 2, following a debut edition that attracted nearly 70,000 attendees. The Poznań event seems perfectly tailored to Gorillaz and their multidimensional, animated world of sound and visuals – a project that has generated billions of streams, achieved legendary status, and earned a reputation as one of the most distinctive musical acts of the past decades. It is at Cytadela Park that their greatest hits (“Clint Eastwood,” “Feel Good Inc.,” “19-2000”) will be performedlive, alongside tracks from their upcoming album “The Mountain,” set for release in March.

In the heart of the city

The festival aims to become a permanent part of the city’s fabric while staying rooted in its center. Hosting the event in an urban park allows attendees easy access, seamless movement across the city, and proximity to a wide range of accommodation options.

“We are delighted that BitterSweet Festival will once again take place at Cytadela Park. This location has become an integral part of the festival, shaping its identity and contributing to the overwhelmingly positive reception from attendees, who appreciated an atmosphereimpossible to recreate in large, open fields,” say the promoter, concert agency Good Taste Production.

An energy that lingers long after the final encore

BitterSweet Festival is the first large-scale festival in Poznań with an international line-up, offering multi-stage concerts in August – but that’s not what sets it apart. It also features discussion panels as part of BitterSweet Talks, a social impact campaign focused on mental health, and numerous accompanying events engaging the local community. The festival lives throughout the year, hosting senior dance events, organizing walks throughthe historic areas of Cytadela Park, and curating exhibitions by local artists. It’s worth following the festival’s event calendar on Instagram and TikTok – and becoming part of the BitterSweet community, where the energy lasts long after the final encore.

Artists who performed at the first edition included Post Malone, Nelly Furtado, Taco Hemingway, Natasha Bedingfield, Bedoes 2115, Empire of the Sun, Melanie C, Hurts, and Salvatore Ganacci. Over three days, nearly 50 artists performed across four stages, including local acts such as Blue Jazz Orchestra, the Poznań Musical Theatre, the Wieniawski Society, and the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra.
